Song Kran. Khoa San Rd 2012. 5 minute taste of water fights and pumping music

Song Kran is a great experience to be part of, where most Thai people will venture out onto the streets to be part of this water festival. It is a lot of fun, and everyone is happy and smiling and you cannot stay dry for very long after leaving your accommodation.

Song Kran 13th – 15 April is a celebration of the Thai New Year , and a time to pay respects to elders,  family members, friends, neighbours and monks. It is also a time for cleaning, and renewal.

I had a great time meeting up with my “farang” (foreigners) friends and spending the day on the streets of Bangkok, ending up in Khoa San Road which is full of travellers who are out for a big party.

Here is a 5 minute taster to see what it was like! This is my second Song Kran and just as fun! Photos of my 1st one can be found here! So enjoy the clip…
